 Medicos' Week - Overall Winners - 33rd Batch Medicos' Fiesta 2014, the final day of Medicos' Week was celebrated on 25th May 2014 at Hoover Auditorium, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna from 6 to 9.30 pm. Chief Guest: Dr. S. Raviraj Consultant Surgeon & Head Department of Surgery Faculty of Medicine, Jaffna We had magnificent Cultural Performances and a grand prize giving.

 Champions of Hockey - 33rd Batch We had Hockey finals on 13th of May 2014 between 33rd Batch and 35th batch. 33rd batch won the match and became the champions! 35th batch and 34th batch won the 2nd & 3rd places respectively.

 Champions of Thaachchi Men - 34th Batch We had Thaachchi Men finals on 20th of May 2014 between 33rd Batch and 34th batch. 34th batch won the match and became the champions!
33rd batch and 35th batch won the 2nd & 3rd places respectively.  Champions of Football - 34th Batch We had the football finals between 33rd batch and 34th batch on 21st May 2014. 34th batch won the match and became the champions.
33rd, 35th and 36th won the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively.  Champions of Elle - 34th Batch We had the Elle finals on 20th May 2014 at 6.30 am between 34th batch and 33rd batch.
34th batch won the match and became champions while 33rd batch and 35th batch won the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
 Champions of Basketball - 35th Batch We had the Basketball finals on 16th of May 2014 between 33rd Batch and 35th batch. 35th batch won the match and became the champions! 33rd, 34th and 36th batches won the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively.
 Champions of Drama - 33rd Batch The drama competition of Medicos' week 2014 held on 27th of June, 2014 at Kailaasabathy auditorium from 4.00 pm.
The drama of 33rd batch - "முகம் மூடிகள்" Became first while the dramas of 34th batch and 35th batch won the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.  Doctors' Team - The Winners! We had the Doctors' Nite of Medicos week 2014 on 12th May 2014. The Cricket match started at around 5 pm. The Doctors' Team won the match.
This time, we had a 30 mins musical performance by the students of 36th batch at the Examination hall (New semi-permanent Building) before the fellowship Dinner.  Champions of Cricket - 34th Batch The 34th batch won the finals against 35th batch and became the champions of Cricket in Medicos Week 2014.

Amended and approved at special MSU meeting held on 10th April 2014 accommodating the suggestions given by evaluation panel comprised of Dr. (Mrs.) V.Ambalavanar, Mr.R.Surenthirakumarn and Mr.S.Sanchayan appointed by Faculty board at its 293rd meeting. Placed before the faculty board and approved with the made amendments at its 294th meeting held on 23rd April 2014.  Champions of Musical Contest - 33rd Batch We had introduced Dance contest and Musical contest during Medicos' Week. We conducted both events together as a Talent Show at Kailasabathy Auditorium on 1st of May 2014 from 4.30 pm.
33rd batch Became Champions in Musical contest. 36th, 34th and 35th batches won the 2nd, 3rd & 4th places respectively. Participants of Athletic Meet - Medicos' Week 2014 We had the Track and field events of Medicos' Week 2014 in three days. On first two days, events were held in evenings and the final day was a full day event which ended with the prize giving.
34th batch became the champions while 33rd and 35th won the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.  Champions of Badminton - 34th Batch We had Badminton finals on 6th of May 2014 between 33rd Batch and 34th batch. 34th batch won the match and became the champions! 33rd batch, 35th batch and 36th batch won the 2nd, 3rd & 4th places respectively.  Champions of Table Tennis - 33rd Batch We had table tennis matches between 33rd, 34th, 35th & 36th batches on 3rd May 2014. 33rd 34th & 35th batches won the 1st, 2nd & 3rd places respectively.  Champions of Netball - 34th Batch We had Netball finals on 23rd of April 2014 between 34th Batch and 36th batch. 34th batch won the match and became the champions! 36th and 33rd batches won the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.  Champions of Men volleyball - 35th Batch We had women tharchchi finals on 5th of April 2014 between 34th Batch and 35th batch. 35th batch won the match and became the champions!

Medicos' Week 2014Medicos week has been the most awaited students' activity in a year. We are proud to say Medical faculty is the pioneers of such sports and aesthetic event at Jaffna university.
Every year, preparing a set of rules and regulations for the medicos week and greeting it approved by the faulty board has been a studious task and It also being under the critics that the batch that holds the event make it for its beneficiaries of winning the game somehow! Hence, Medical Students’ Union 2012/13 has standardized the rules and regulations and the point system and prepared the Terms of reference to conduct medicos’ week. We also have adopted the points system used by physical education unit of university of Jaffna for freshers’ meet and inter faculty matches!! Furthermore this year we have introduced some new events such as Hockey, Elle, Musical contest, Dance, Drawing and English short story writing. Medicos' Week Organizing Committee
