Champions of Quiz - 33rd Batch

The Quiz was conducted on 22nd May 2014. Arunakirinaathan Sir was the Quiz master.

33rd Batch became the champions while 34th, 36th and 35th batches won the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively.

Carrom

Champions of Carrom - 33rd Batch

33rd Batch became the Champions of Carrom in Medicos' Week 2014.

35th batch, 36th batch and 34th batch became 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.

Tamil Short Story

S. Lukshiga of 33rd batch won the first place in the Tamil Short Story writing.

A.N. Sanfar of 33rd batch and S. Kalayukan 35th batch became 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Faculty of Medicine has been the pioneers in holding many students activities that provide a great opportunity to work enthusiastically as a team despite tight academic schedule.

Medicos’ Week is one of such events and it has been a platform for students to portray their talents and creative idea.

Medicos' Week 2014

Medicos week has been the most awaited students' activity in a year. We are proud to say Medical faculty is the pioneers of such sports and aesthetic event at Jaffna university.

Every year, preparing a set of rules and regulations for the medicos week and greeting it approved by the faulty board has been a studious task and It also being under the critics that the batch that holds the event make it for its beneficiaries of winning the game somehow!

Hence, Medical Students’ Union 2012/13 has standardized the rules and regulations and the point system and prepared the Terms of reference to conduct medicos’ week. We also have adopted the points system used by physical education unit of university of Jaffna for freshers’ meet and inter faculty matches!!

Furthermore this year we have introduced some new events such as Hockey, Elle, Musical contest, Dance, Drawing and English short story writing.
